in SD!

So far San Diego is pretty awesome. We ate at a couple vegan places with amazing food, went to Ocean Beach, Old Town San Diego, Balboa Park, Pacific Beach, and the Go Skate Day festivities in Chula Vista. We met up with Adrian out there and it (somehow) was over 10 degrees hotter than 20 minutes north, from where we came from. The Chula Vista skatepark is alright, but it seems like it was 4 different parks pieces together. As with any other GSD event, it was packed with little kids that made it almost impossible to skate.

Tomorrow we are going to try to kayak in the caves in La Jolla and I might meet up with Adrian again to skate Washington Street.

For now, I will leave you with some of the photos from an idea I had to fill up all of 5 minutes of our 6 1/2 hour flight. Enjoy...

Off x 2

So we are going to be heading to California in a few hours. Trying to hit up this tomorrow...hopefully!

It is my last day at my job today. After 3 1/2 years here it is time to move on. Kinda sad, but also exciting.

Videos like woah!

This past week was the Rooftop Rampage, hosted by Billy Rohan.

I wasn't able to make it out, but here is the first of the footage to emerge from it.

Taji told me he made like $170 and the fact that Luis broke the high ollie record is no surprise to anyone who has ever skated with him. This is going to be how they integrate skateboarding into the Olympics finally, governed by the high jumpers, not the cyclists this time!

CODY MCENTIRE!

This guy is pretty much my favorite skateboarder right now. Check out his part in the new Digital video, Smoke and Mirrors. He has the last part!

Carlsbad got wrecked!!!

I know I am late on this, but watch this:

Then this:

Then this!

Tell me that isn't going to be stuck in your head for at least 3 days now! How crazed is ATL that stuff like that happens and hardly anyone on the train reacts?! "Anyone wanna see Young Jeezy kill George Bush?" AHAHAHAHAHA

Now back to skateboarding...Chocolate posted a part for their new rider Vincent Alvarez. It is pretty good. Check it out!

That is all I have for you for right now. Camille and I are going to California on Friday for a week...San Diego and Los Angeles. I have a new MacBook Pro in the mail, so maybe I will be able to post updates from the road...we will see how hectic our schedule will be. I will try to post once more before then, however.

Some Skate Talk

I found this clip on Crailtap. It is pretty sick!

Here is a clip of King of Spring that went down at 12th and A.

Clip of the Week: Jake Duncombe

Jake is a beast and one of my favorites...too bad he rides for some of the crappiest companies (Blind, Tensor, etc.).

Tats

What are they trying to say about Long Island? Speaking of rainbows, check out these crazed tattoos I found on BME:

I am not sure if they are serious about this one, but if so...wow. That is the most randomly offensive thing I have ever seen. I am not sure who is is most offensive to: blacks, jews, or gays...

This must be the best lesbian tattoo ever.

Here are more tattoos that I found notable:

Girls in sushi?!

Pretty cool fusion of 3 skulls.

Don Qioxte skeleton tat.

The tattooer did a pretty amazing job on this one.

RIP, Heath.

Looks like art from Twist. Eitherway, it is pretty sick.

I have been feeling portraits done as simple line drawings, like these:

Bill and Bill.

Now, worse tattoo ideas:

Makes you want to date this person right away, no?

Classy!

And the top honors for worst tattoo go to...

I typically do not like chest pieces, but these two look pretty sick.

This is the best chest piece I have seen...a franken-heart.
